Ahmed Naji is Executive Director for Infrastructure and Utility Projects at NEOM. He oversees NEOM’s infrastructure projects, including its roads and water networks, and is responsible for the establishment of logistics facilities like batching plants and laydown yards to enable the project’s significant development and construction progress.
Prior to joining NEOM, Ahmed Naji worked for 27 years with Saudi Aramco in the Refineries and Projects Management department. In this role, Ahmed led the Detail Engineering team and was responsible for commissioning several significant projects. These included the establishment of the Rabigh Refinery & Petrochemical Company as the first joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo, and the Jazan Refinery Program, where he headed up the Hydrocracker and Diesel Hydrotreated Projects team.
During his 30-year career, Ahmed has also headed up maintenance, engineering, asset integrity, and inspection departments within some of the Saudi Aramco companies.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Abdulaziz University and attended many technical and management and leadership training programs including an MBA with Drexel University.
